High Five for Friday

This week has been tough on many of my close friends, community, and family. 

We lost a great man unexpectedly Monday night under unimaginable circumstances. 

It is crazy to think about how horrible things happen to the best of people. 

This week I've found myself asking over and over again why it happened. Why it happened to the family that it did. Why God let it happen. I know he has a reason for everything, but it is really hard to see it right now. 

As I was driving to school last week I started singing a song that I usually sing in church and I finally was able to connect with the words. Although it doesn't make it easier right now, it gives me hope that one day Teddy's family and those who are asking the same questions I am will understand it one day. 

Although, I usually do different high fives during my Friday post this week all of my high fives, and prayers, go to the Mays family. 

Rest in Peace Teddy. You're missed by so many. 

Farther Along

When death has come and taken our loved ones.

It leaves our home so lonely and drear.

Then do we wonder why others prosper

Living so wicked year after year.

Farther along we'll know all about it.

Farther along we'll understand why.

Cheer up my brother live in the sunshine.

We'll understand it, all by and by. 

When we see Jesus coming in glory.

When He comes from His home in the sky.

Then we shall meet Him in that bright mansion.

We'll understand it all by and by.
